Gigi da Silva

     I am a part time fiction writer. My work falls under various genres including contemporary and speculative. I am at the beginning of my writing career and in the process of discovering my voice as an author. I have written a few short stories and am currently working on the third draft of my first novella, The In-Between. You can read some of my earlier stories on the Stories page. A few writers that inspire me are: Agustina Bazterrica (Tender is the Flesh), Shirley Jackson (The Haunting of Hill House; The Lottery), Marlen Haushofer (The Wall), and John Irving (The Cider House Rules). I am currently reading If on a winter's night a traveler by Italo Calvino.
