Monsters Must Be Born

Yesterday, I finished writing my "Black Mirror episode" story. It's called (you guessed it) Monsters Must Be Born. The setting is a dystopian future where scientists have discovered a type of "violence gene" that can predict with a high degree of accuracy whether a baby will grow up to be a high-risk threat to society (psychopaths, dictators, terrorists, etc.). It's law that every newborn must go through a genetic screening test shortly after their birth before they are released to their parents... I'll let your imagination take you from there. I guess the story ended up being more dystopian/speculative fiction, less tech-y...but the prompt spring-boarded the idea and that's what matters in the end. Plus, I've had a recurring thought that even Hitler was once a baby and wondered what they would have done if they knew at that time.

I'm not self-publishing Monsters Must Be Born or The Baptism on my website because I'm hoping they will get published in a magazine (most magazines want unpublished stories). If and when they do get published I will 100% absolutely be posting the link to my website so you can read those stories.
